Introduction
Recently, Ant Esports has been producing some intriguing and remarkable cooling solutions; the is the company's most recent offering. The fans are distinguished from the others by their design and mode of operation. It is a reversible mechanism fan that may be mounted in one position and, with a switch flip, switch to forward or backward flow.
The Ant Esports Quartzflow PWM Reversible Fan, often known as the Quartzflow fans, is reviewed in this article. They are available in either black or white. These came out with the Shiftflow Reversible Fan, a different line of reversible fans. We'll discuss how these fans function, interact with one another and of course perform. We will have a look at the product specs in the next section. Tech Reprise is grateful to Ant Esports for supplying review samples.
Design Language
You will note that Ant Esports fans are a little different from their counterparts in the market if you are familiar with them. The fan’s standout features are its attractive square frame and the ARGB infinity mirror all around its frame. The coolest thing is that the fan only has one cable for the PWM and only one cable for the ARGB, guess how? Yes, this is one of a kind daisy chainable and reversible fan which I guess is a first for the Indian market. The fan houses the connectors for the daisy chain on its two opposing sides, there are clips in place to ensure a tight vibration free fit.
The fan's current design features a seven-blade impeller on a square frame with an all-white look. The fan is rated for 2000 RPM fan speed, 2.05 mmH2O static pressure and 75 CFM airflow. To lessen vibrations while in use, rubber inserts are placed on each of the four corners. The primary unique selling point of this fan is its reversible polarity DC motor, which draws about 0.16A on paper. This fan is manufactured in a very special manner. On the one hand, there are fans who have forward and reverse blade impellers in different packages, but Ant Esports has outdone themselves by releasing a fan that has both of these features in one box. The fan may be switched from forward to reverse position by flicking the switch on the fan controller hub that comes with the box. The fan has a single PWM cable and ARGB that runs all operations of the fan. The cable is around 50cm long and is attached to the above-mentioned fan controller. The fan also comes with a remote-controlled ARGB controller which houses numerous ARGB effects.
Specifications
Packaging and Accessories
The fan comes in set of three, neatly arranged inside a cardboard box which illustrates how the fan looks on the front with the specifications on its sides and the regulatory and importer information on its back. Upon opening the box, we are greeted with the fans surrounded by foam to minimise transit damage along with the accessories like the fan mounting screws, radiator screws, ARGB controller, Fan PWM controller hub, remote for the ARGB controller and the manuals.
Testing
I used an audio meter app on my phone to evaluate the noise level of the fans outside my case as a single unit.
I used four more fans that I had on hand to compare the acoustics measurement. Given that the fans are operating at a higher RPM than their rated capacity, the performance and acoustical outcomes I have discovered are more than excellent. The findings from my testing are given in the following table. We can see that even though the Quartzflow runs at a whopping 2270RPM it still maintains a respectable 30dBA noise level. The Uphere fan tops the chart with a much lower RPM and a higher noise profile. The RPM to Noise ratio is the most respectable in the Ant Esports Quartzflow.
Conclusion
Pro's
Priced just right.
Comes with all the accessories you need to set it up.
Good quality material leading to a solid build quality.
Can work as both case and radiator fans.
Forward and reverse with a flick of the switch.
RGB controller with remote controller support.
Con's
At full speed and 3 fans installed it can get a bit noisy, custom PWM profiles can reduce that sound.
The glossy mirror parts are a finger and scratch magnet so a bit of caution is advised while installing.
Bottom Line
Overall, I am happy with the performance they offer, and the PC's design is boosted thanks to the infinity mirror ARGB design. The fans themselves are perfect for use on radiators or heatsinks since they have a relatively high static pressure. They are also excellent for your computer's intake or exhaust fans. In light of the launch price of ₹3499, the absolutely banger of a performance, Daisy Chainable fans and reversible feature, I will give the fans a perfect score of 10/10 and award them with the Tech Reprise Gold Badge of Honor.
