Qualcomm’s Oryon cores are expected to launch in Big.Little 2+6 cluster with the 8 Gen 4

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is rumored to be the last SOC from Tech Giant Qualcomm to feature ARM cores, as they are expected to switch to own custom cores called Oryon, starting with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. One tipster mentions this along with the CPU configuration (authenticity yet to be verified).

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 CPU configuration will be similar to Cupertino giant Apple’s A-series chips for the iPhone lineup. The difference being that according to the details shared by 'Tipster' on Weibo, Qualcomm’s upcoming SoC will have six energy efficient cores paired with two performance cores

Combining the two performance cores with the six energy efficient cores may mean that the multi core scores will increase drastically to a point that they may be on par with the A Series Chips.  As per another 'Tipster' the 8 Gen 4 may actually be faster than the M2 Chip. On top of that the 8 Gen4 is to bring support for LPDDR6 memory resulting in higher bandwidth and lower power consumption. But sadly to see this improvement we will have to wait for around a year or so as the 8 Gen 3 will launch first. But don't worry, we will keep you updated in this matter.
